LkSG and civil liability

As part of his dissertation, which he wrote over the past three years at the Institute for Sustainability, Corporate Law, and Reporting (INUR) at the University of Cologne, Leon Widdrat examined the civil law implications of the LkSG, taking into account developments at the European level. The dissertation is currently in the process of being published by Duncker & Humblot.

Personal information

Dr. Leon Widdrat was a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Institute for Sustainability, Corporate Law, and Reporting at the University of Cologne (INUR) until May 2025. He received his doctorate from the University of Cologne in 2025 with his dissertation “LkSG and Civil Liability” (forthcoming). Since June 2025, he has been working as an associate in the labor law department at the law firm Simmons & Simmons in Frankfurt am Main.
